FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns experimental medicine. Drowning-caused clinical death in small laboratory animals is simulated by applying of an elastic mask on a muzzle that is transformed into a flexible tube connected with the mask. The tube is provided with a clip in its bottom and connected to the bottom of a funnel fixed vertically on a support. The funnel is filled up with water to charge the tube and induce clinical death of an animal. Then the tube is clipped. The method is easy-to-implement, improves usability, eliminates watering and water cooling of the animal under test.
EFFECT: improved usability, elimination of watering and water cooling of the animal under test.
