FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used as ram clamps to connect aluminium, steel-aluminium and protected wires of overhead power lines. Proposed clamp comprises casing (1) and several rams (2) that have flutes (8, 9). Connected wires (6, 7) are laid in aforesaid flutes and bolted together. Casing (1) and rams (2) represent equal-strength horizontal structures with their geometrical sizes specially selected. For example, A=(1.0 to 1.2)·(dwire max.+dbolt), where A is the distance between flute vertical axes, dwire max. Is the maximum diametre of wire from the set of wires, dbolt is the diametre of tensioning device bolt, H=(0.3 to 1.2)·A, R=(0.9·1.1)·H, where H is the height of casing and rams, R is the radius of outer curvature of flutes (8, 9). Casing (1) and rams (2) have rectangular flat (10) with width B and height h, their magnitude being determined from the relationship B=(0.8 to 1.1)·D dia.circums circ.nut, where D dia.circums circ.nut is the diametre of circumscribed circle of nut (4) fitted on tensioning device bolt (3), h=(0.1 to 0.3)·H. Surfaces of flutes (8, 9) have triangular ledges (11) with round apices and triangle base.
EFFECT: metal savings, reduced production costs.
