METHOD OF MUCOCILIARY INSUFFICIENCY DIAGNOSTICS AT PATIENTS WITH BRONCHIAL ASTHMA Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B5/00

FIELD: medicine; allergology.

SUBSTANCE: endobronchitis activity index (EAI) is calculated in % from the maximum value for diagnostics of mucociliary insufficiency at patients with bronchial asthma using a bronchoscopy method with use of the qualitative-quantitative analysis of inflammation intensity indicators in the lower respiratory tracts. Bronchial lavage is carried out. After that expression of endoscopic signs of bronchuses hyperreactivity (BHES) is determined on degree of narrowing of a segmental bronchus mouth in % from the initial size. Then the discriminant D=0.483×BHES-1.716×EAI is calculated. At size of D less than (-26.62) mucociliary insufficiency is diagnosed.

EFFECT: increase of diagnostics accuracy.
