FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry and is intended primarily for high cross-country capacity vehicles to be operated on scarce roads with low load-bearing capacity of ground. Proposed propulsor comprises supports representing two semi-rollers rolling it turn one over another and furnished with elastic shoes. The said semi-rollers are fitted on opposite ends of rotary hollow drive rod to axially turn thereon. Inner surface of the said drive rod is formed by rectilinear horizontal sections and face curvilinear sections. Above mentioned drive rod houses a drive wheel linked up with the vehicle power plant. The said wheel rolls inside the drive rod along rectilinear sections to allow linear travel of the vehicle. When it interacts with one of the face curvilinear sections, it turns drive rod, first, through 90° upwards driven by the vehicle gravity force and, then, through 90° smoothly downwards forced by drive rod and semi-roller gravity forces.
EFFECT: smooth motion and higher cross-country capacity.
