METHOD OF TURNING OF MOBILE RAILLESS WHEELED MACHINES Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2191129 C2

FIELD: transport engineering; trucks, tractors, road building and agricultural machines. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, steerable wheels of railless wheeled machine being turned through angle α are simultaneously deflected towards center of turning through angle β, thus creating optimum angle of machine rolling over curvilinear trajectory. Proposed method of turning of steerable wheels provides optimum rolling conditions of steerable wheels over curvilinear trajectory. EFFECT: reduced wear of tires, cut down consumption of fuel, improved stability and steerability of machines. 3 dwg
