FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, dentistry, and can be used for diagnostics of pathological dental abrasion that is enabled by atomic-force microscopy, mass spectrometry and electron microprobe analysis of hard dental tissues. An analysed object is longitudinal profile dental surfaces of thickness 1-1.5 mm prepared with using a low-speed drill and a diamond dental disk. Polishing is ensured with flexible abrasive disks. For analysis purposes, special blocks with epoxy fixed ground-in longitudinal dental profiles are carbon deposited. The analysis is performed at accelerating voltage 15 kV and current strength 40 nA. The standard samples are fluor and chlorapatite, dolomite, albite and anhydrite. In secondary electrode mode of voltage 20 kV, various dental sites are microphotographed. Spacing pattern of dental enamel microelements are described by layered acid-dissolution of enamel thereafter analysed. Pathological dental abrasion is diagnosed by the following signs: higher chlorine content in enamel, lower microelement content in comparison with intact teeth, intensive obliteration and hardening of dentinal tubules, changes in anionic composition of enamel and dentin mainly.

EFFECT: declared method allows increasing information value of the diagnostic technique for pathological dental abrasion.
