FIELD: physics, measurements.

SUBSTANCE: suggested technical solution is related to the field of radio location and may be used in measurement of angular coordinates of targets in surveillance radio-locating stations with discrete surveillance of space by narrow beam. In suggested method calculation of angular coordinates of targets is carried out by two-dimensional angular packets of detected signals, which are generated serially in several stages, moreover, at every stage out of multiple detected signals non-combined into packets, signal is selected with maximum amplitude, afterwards two-dimensional angular packet is made by combination of detected signals available in the area, centre of which coincides with coordinates of selected direction, and dimensions at each angular coordinate are equal to width of beam along this coordinate by level that corresponds to maximum of side tabs, number of stages is selected so that all detected signals are combined into two-dimensional angular packets, produced two-dimensional angular packets of detected signals are used to calculate angular coordinates of targets.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurement of angular coordinates of targets.
