FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, dermatology and pathological anatomy and can be used to detect nosologic forms of pigmented melanocytic skin neoplasms - juvenile nevus. To diagnose juvenile nevus, histological tumour sections are stained with acid fuchsin. Considering the nuclei area of juvenile nevus melanocytes and optical density of monochromatic light transmitted therethrough of wavelength 570 nm, deoxyribonucleic acid is counted. It is followed with calculating the melanocyte nuclei ploidy by dividing the deoxyribonucleic acid count in melanocyte nuclei by deoxyribonucleic acid count in lymphocyte nuclei. If the poidy is 4.0-4.6, juvenile nevus is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method improves accuracy and objectivity of juvenile nevus diagnostics.
