FIELD: ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended for the differential diagnosis of nevus and melanoma of the conjunctiva. Optical coherence tomography is performed in angiography mode. The distribution density of blood vessels and the presence of "lace pattern" zones are determined, as well as the local vascular density (VD) and the number of "lace pattern" zones. If the local vascular density is less than 50% and less than 7 zones of the "lace pattern" are detected, a progressive nevus is diagnosed. With a local vascular density of 50% or more and the detection of 7 or more zones of the "lace pattern" or the presence of at least one zone of the "confluent pattern" - melanoma of the conjunctiva.

EFFECT: method provides early differential diagnosis of nevus and conjunctival melanoma for timely selection of treatment tactics.
