SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to oncology and dermato-oncology, and can be used for non-invasive diagnostics in the differential diagnosis of pigmented nevi (PN) with signs of activation and early forms of melanoma in terms of its secondary prevention. Thermographic studies are carried out, while measuring the temperature in the area of ​​the pigment formation, as well as outside its visual boundaries, and find the temperature difference (∆Т). Based on the data obtained on the size of the formation and the temperature difference, a pigmented nevus or melanoma is diagnosed. When a thermopositive pigmented nevus is detected, its digital image and the corresponding thermogram are additionally combined, the size of the thermal heating area is determined, which correlates with the level of proliferative processes along the periphery of the pigmented formation.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of determining the boundaries of excision of pigmented formations and reduce the risk of recurrence after an inadequate excision of pigmented nevi by assessing the totality of the most significant indicators.
