FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely, to surgical dentistry and maxillofacial surgery, and can be used in treating mouth floor and neck diffuse phlegmons and Ludwig's angina. Substance of the method consists in nasal intubation of trachea, opening of a phlegmon, inspection of mouth floor and neck. An intubation tube is kept in trachea during 1-3 days, and further in the absence of asphyxia risk, the intubation tube is delivered trachea and kept in nasopharynx as an artificial airway for 1-2 days, then removed completely.

EFFECT: application of the present invention allows avoiding tracheotomy in patients suffering from mouth floor and neck diffuse phlegmons and Ludwig's angina, and thereby preventing venous haemorrhages, emphysema of neck and breast soft tissues, unilateral pneumothorax, bronchial secretion congestion, seeding of opportunistic and pathogenic tracheal and pulmonary microflora, hypostases, microabscesses, necroses of tracheal mucosa, development of tracheal ring perichondritis and chondritis and development of valvular asphyxia.
