FIELD: physics, radio.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio electronics and is a self-contained microwave generator which can be used as a tuneable oscillator in microwave frequency synthesisers, as an independent radio transmitter in location and data transfer systems, as well as in active phased antenna array of automobile anti-collision systems. The device has a dielectric substrate (1), whose bottom surface (2) is metal coated and the metal coating has a circular opening (3) whose diametre is such that there is resonance at its operating frequency, and on the second metal coated surface there is topology (4) of a tuneable self-contained microwave generator, a second dielectric substrate (5) lying under the first dielectric substrate (1) on the side of its metal coated surface with a circular opening (3) and in contact with the metal coating (2) on the bottom surface of the first dielectric substrate (1) lying under the first metallic shield (6), electrically connected to the metal coating (2) on the bottom surface of the first dielectric substrate (1), a second metallic shield (7), lying on top and electrically connected to the metal coating (2) of the first dielectric substrate (1).

EFFECT: reduced weight and size of the self-contained generator with retention and improvement of its parametres due to use of a second dielectric substrate.
