FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises presetting the part sizes and shape, impregnating it with fiber processing composition, subsequent dewatering and thermal pressing. One of dies of the press has a relief image on the side facing the part surface being modified. The method includes also required staying after thermal pressing, cooling and mechanical processing of the said surface. Prior to impregnation, the part surface opposite to modified one has, in the area equal to that of thermal pressing, parallel cuts inclined to modified surface and shifted in steps relative to each other for size exceeding the width of aforesaid cuts. The said cuts feature depth smaller than the part height for magnitude exceeding the depth of thermal pressing. Note here that the cuts oriented crosswise with respect to wood fiber orientation.
EFFECT: higher quality of modified surfaces.
