FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction materials and can be used in woodworking industry to obtain wood-polymer composite materials with improved operational characteristics. Described is a method for radiation-chemical modification of composites, consisting in radiation treatment of filled wood-polymer composite material, characterized by that composite of composition (weight parts): wood filler/polyolefin/process additive containing cross-linking agent (60–80)/(40–20)/(5–10) is subjected to radiation treatment at room temperature by exposure to gamma radiation in the range of absorbed doses of 50–100 kGy.
EFFECT: technical result is longer service life of article.
