FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining a group of long thin protrusions on workpieces made from steels and alloys by means of impulse electric chemical processing using a thin vibration plate tool electrode provided with a group of holes of the specified shape is implemented in aqueous solution of salts with impulses fed in maximum approach phase of electrodes and by controlling supply speed of electrode and voltage of impulses. Voltage value in maximum approach phase of electrodes is changed smoothly as the tool electrode penetrates into the workpiece on the basis of guaranteed anodic dissolution of the processed workpiece surface in active or transpassive area. At that, supply of impulses is controlled so that voltage surge up to maximum approach phase of electrodes is not more than 5% of voltage value in maximum approach phase of electrodes, and the tool electrode supply speed is controlled so that voltage surge after maximum approach phase of electrodes is more than voltage value in maximum approach phase of electrodes by not more than 25%, but not less than by 5%.

EFFECT: method allows increasing the quality and enlarging process capabilities of obtaining the group of long thin protrusions on sealing inserts of steam gas turbine engines and gas-compressor plants.
