FIELD: electrochemical working by means of vibrating electrode, possibly for working shaped surfaces of machine parts, particularly die impressions, press-molds and large surface area casting molds. SUBSTANCE: method comprises use as pulse power source controlled electric source allowing to change setting of electric current in order to provide predetermined voltage in interelectrode gap. At changing electric current setting during action of given pulse, preset values of voltage at any time moment between front and back edges of voltage pulse are provided including preset voltage value at time moment of maximum mutual approaching of electrodes. Values of electric current setting are provided in such a way that to obtain voltage value in any point of curve between front and back edges of voltage pulse higher than anode dissolution potential and also in such a way that voltage bursts in any point of curve between front and back edges of voltage pulse were no more than preset maximum voltage.
