FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: mono- or oligoterpenes are obtained from thermal non-catalytic isomerisation of sulphate turpentine. Thermolysis of sulphate turpentine is carried out in a plug-flow reactor at temperature 260-420°C and pressure 40-280 atm. Contact time of the reaction mixture is 70 seconds. Selectivity of the reaction is controlled by varying the temperature interval in which the reaction takes place.
EFFECT: obtaining mono- and oligoterpenes at high speed, with controlled selectivity and high output of desired products.
