FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to heat engineering and namely to heat supply, and can be used for heat utilisation of exhaust furnace and flue gases, as well as ventilation emissions at temperatures below dew point. The effect is achieved by the fact that glass basket air heater consists of a housing divided in a vertical plane with horizontal tubular grids into tiers and equipped with vertical tubular grids with cover plates provided with flanges and ducts for supplying and discharging flue gases and air, in which on each tier between horizontal and vertical tubular grids there arranged are baskets of glass heat exchange elements, each of which includes multi-channel glass blocks with air and gas channels made perpendicular relative to each other, and single-channel glass blocks made from heat-resistant low-alkali glass with elastic gasket installed between all the glass blocks and external gasket; at that, those glass blocks are laid so that gaps are formed between them lengthwise, which also form gas channels with multi-row bonding system throughout the basket length and width.
EFFECT: increasing range of efficiency, effectiveness and reliability of glass basket air heater.
