FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: pipeline section is installed in additional pipe of larger diametre. On both sides of obstacle there are vertical wells arranged. Pipes are connected to each other by means of nozzles with quick-detachable joints. Each nozzle is equipped with travelling rolls. Repair is performed as per the following sequence. At first they disconnect adjacent transition section from underwater part of pipeline. Underwater part, using traction rope, is shifted by pipe length. Pipe in well is disconnected and lifted to the surface. In a similar manner they dismantle the whole underground section of pipeline. Damaged pipes are replaced or repaired. Then pipes are alternately lowered back in well, and restored section of underground pipeline is assembled. Ends of restored section are connected to transition parts of pipeline.
EFFECT: reduction of labour and time expenditures for repair.
