FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: power dissipator relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used for water flow quenching after pressure water lines in a water well shaft. Energy damper comprises water line 1, inlet branch pipe 2, vertical well 3 equipped in upper part inside with taper spreader 4 with perforated holes in walls along its entire height. Outlet of vertical well 3 is connected with additional damping chamber 5 equipped in upper part with annular horizontal shelf 6. Bottom of chamber 5 is equipped with discharge pipeline 9 for water discharge. In quenching chamber 5 there is additionally located a vertical cantilever wall 8 with a gap below the bottom of the outlet hole of pipeline 9. Vertical inner walls of well 3 and external vertical walls of spreader 4 are equipped with spreaders 10, which are installed at an angle to vertical to opposite walls of them and form working chambers between walls of housing and perforated walls of spreader 4. Working chambers in the upper part of well 3 form a collector located between the side walls of well 3 and spreader 4. Spreaders 10 are staggered and made in the form of corrugated sheets with acute-angled vertices and recesses, at that vertices and recesses of each lower spreader 10 are shifted by half-step relative to tops above spreader 10.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of dissipating outlet and mixing of water in upper part of vertical well, further, water discharge into the quenching chamber with the annular horizontal flange and the vertical cantilever wall with a gap, which allows to simplify the design and to ensure reduction of bottom speeds in the flow.
