FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of electric engineering, namely to technology for manufacturing of resistive fiber in electric insulation. In method for application of insulating coat onto resistive fiber, fiber is pulled through liquid, creating an adhesive layer on it, and then dried outside this liquid, fiber represents a coal thread, cord, tape or metal wire, which is multiply pulled though viscous adhesive solution of heat resistant binder in organic dissolvent, or mineral composition, alternating it with drying, process is performed until complete removal of dissolvent and complete loss of adhesiveness of produced insulating coat on resistive fiber, and then it is wound onto drum, and also due to the fact that device for application of insulating coat onto resistive fiber, comprises thread-pulling mechanism with drum and drying chamber with heating element, consists of several reservoirs with draw plates, alternating with several drying chambers, at the same time each drying chamber is made in the form of hollow heating tube, and thread-pulling mechanism is created by rollers installed on the whole path of fiber motion. Resistive fiber is multiply pulled, alternating various compositions of adhesive solution of heat resistant binder in organic dissolvent.

EFFECT: simplification and price reduction of method and device for application of quality heat resistant moisture-protective elastic insulating coat, both onto metal wire and coal fiber (thread, cord, tape).
