METHOD FOR WATER MEDIUM TREATMENT FROM OIL AND FAT PRODUCTS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B01D17/06 

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to method for treatment of water and water-oil emulsions from admixtures of oil and fat products prior to discharge of technological water mediums into environment or their supply to reverse water supply and may be used in oil production, chemical and food industries, at specialised water treatment complexes. Method consists in the fact that at first flow of treated water is exposed to contact with magnetic powder. Then flow of treated water containing magnetic powder is processed with alternating electromagnetic field with further separation of produced suspension into treated water and magnetic powder. Processing with alternating electromagnetic field is carried out by inductor of solenoid type in the range of frequencies from 10 to 1000 Hz at intensity of up to 100 KA/m. Magnetic powder used is barium ferrite or hydrophobised barium ferrite.

EFFECT: suggested method makes it possible to simplify technology of process, provides possibility to perform the process in both periodical and continuous mode, to considerably increase speed of treatment with simultaneous preservation of low specific energy and material inputs of process, and also to provide for high extent of treatment for treated water medium.
