FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cement production method and can be used in the industry of construction materials for making mortar and concrete. In the cement production method, involving grinding portland cement clinker in the presence of wastes from sulphuric acid treatment of boron-containing mineral raw material, an alkalising additive is introduced during grinding, which is in form of dry granular material with the following ratio of components, wt %: said wastes - 4 to 8, portland cement clinker - the rest. The said alkalising additive is in amount sufficient for providing for pH of not less than 11. The alkalising additive can be sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate or calcium hydroxide. The said wastes can be heated to temperature 100 to 120°C, obtaining hemihydrate gypsum.
EFFECT: increased cement strength.
