FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves generation of a first beam of pulsed radiation using a first femtosecond laser device with given repetition frequency so as to generate terahertz pulses, generation of a second beam of pulsed radiation using a second femtosecond laser device, measurement of electric field intensity of terahertz pulses for corresponding phase shifts between the first beam of pulsed laser radiation and the second beam of pulsed laser radiation and obtaining a time-domain spectrum of terahertz pulses through Fourier transformation with respect to the array of electric field intensity values.
EFFECT: pulse spectrum of terahertz radiation obtained that way has high resolution.
