FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in the method of obtaining and controlling heavy-fermion state of systems based on Ce with covalency index ranging from 0.4 to 0.6 and band gap from 0 to 3 eV, through X-ray photoelectron effect in a magnetic field, change of spatial distribution of density in the neighbourhood of an atom is indicated by appearance of satellite lines, along with principal lines, on the X-ray electron spectrum, and onset of heavy-fermion state in the system is indicated by ratio of intensity of satellite lines to intensity of principal lines Is/Io not less than 0.4.

EFFECT: easier detection of heavy-fermion state in Ce based systems Ce.
