FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology and can be used to produce wide-band films of nanometer thickness for optical devices, dielectric substrates, interlayers in supercapacitors and layered heterostructures. In diamond-like films based on modified graphene, graphene layers are rotated relative to each other and are connected by interlayer covalent bonds formed during hydrogenation or fluorination of graphene. The rotation angles of graphene layers relative to each other are in the range from 20 to 40°.
EFFECT: such films have a high hardness and an ultra-wide forbidden bandwidth, the width of which exceeds the width of the forbidden bandwidth for known non-twisted and twisted graphene-based structures.
