FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and concerns prediction and control of wear resistance of hard-alloy and of applicability group K of cutting tools by light flux reflection intensity, created by spectrometer from diagnosed polyoxide surface formation obtained during oxidation of hard alloy cutting tools-samples in open muffle electric furnace. Summary: performing the test for changing the value of the initial parameter from the properties of the surface and volume structures formed in the process of making the hard-alloy cutting tool, carrying out of reference tests for wear resistance during cutting of materials causing intensive adhesion wear at optimum or close to it cutting speed, construction of reference – correlation dependence "wear resistance – initial parameter", statistical control only value of initial parameter at current batch of hard alloy cutting tools, wear resistance forecast for current batch of hard alloy cutting tools on the basis of dependence. Initial parameter used is the sum of diffuse reflection coefficients of polychromatic light in the wavelength region λ = 470 ± 20 nm and λ = 690 ± 20 nm from poly-oxide formation formed on the surface of hard-alloy cutting tools at their heating after the wear resistance test in the electric furnace, with increase in which wear resistance of hard-alloy cutting tools of applicability group K increases.
EFFECT: technical result is improved accuracy and reduced labour input when predicting wear resistance of hard alloy cutting tools.
