FIELD: metallurgy industry.
SUBSTANCE: casting system includes pouring device, crystalliser tank and inclined immersion pipe installed on the pouring device. According to the casting method, flow velocity of the melt entering crystalliser tank through immersion pipe is decreased owing to changes of melt flow direction, each of which is at least 90 degrees, which are provided with immersion pipe design. The end of immersion pipe is closed at its free end; at that, in the pipe wall facing the lower part of crystalliser tank there made is at least one outlet hole. The end of immersion pipe is provided with a flanged edge covering the outlet hole and located at some distance therefrom. When immersion pipe is in operating position, outlet hole and flanged edge are located under the bath surface of molten metal in crystalliser tank.
EFFECT: providing degasation of free surface of crystalliser tank, preventing negative pressure in immersion pipe, and simplifying casting system design.
