SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ironing device. The portable device (2) has a seat designed for placing the iron (1). The base (2) involves a folding-back protective cover (4) comprising retractable elements (41, 42). The folding-back protective cover (4) can be in an open positon, in which case the elements (41, 42) of the folding-back protective cover are nested within one another and positioned on each side of the seat so to provide access to the seat. The elements (41, 42) of the folding-back protective cover are turned relative to one another in a way permitting overlap of the iron (1) at least partially when it is placed in its seat (21).
EFFECT: improvement of the iron device properties.
