SUBSTANCE: invention is related to method for control of defect zone on optical record medium of write once type and to optical record medium with its application. Method includes the following stages: first, recording of substitution data in previously specified area, substitution data correspond to defect zone identified in process of data reproduction operation, second, recording of locator information into previously specified area, information of locator specified according positions of defect zone and according substitution data; and third, recording of additional access indicator in initial area, access indicator is intended for specification of locator information, recorded in previously identified area. Previously specified area, which may be located inside or outside of data area, stores information about additional list of defects, which permits operations of data reading, when after recording of data by the main computer to write once CD, such as write once Blue-ray disk BD-WO, defect zones are again identified.
EFFECT: development of efficient method for control of defect area on optical record medium.
