DEVICE FOR DUST DETECTION TO BE USED IN VACUUM CLEANER (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A47L9/19 A47L9/28

Abstract RU 2373828 C2

FIELD: articles for personal use.

SUBSTANCE: device for dust detection is intended to be used in the vacuum cleaner and helps to indicate the dust or dirt on the surface to be cleaned and informs the user about the result. The device consists of the casing with airway in it to move the dusted or dirty air drawn through the suction nozzle, detection sensor located in the casing's airway and intended to determine the passage of the dirt and dust through the airway, lamp junction working upon the signal received from the detection sensor, rotor located in the casing and made to enable the rotation by the air passing through the casing's airway, and electric generator driven to rotation by the rotor to generate the electric power. The casing is located between the suction nozzle and the vacuum cleaner's body, and electric generator supplies either the detection sensor or lamp junction, or both. The rotor is located so one of its parts projects into the airway. As one of the versions the device can contain additional unit providing the rotation and passage control. It provides the drawing of the air through the suction nozzle by the vacuum cleaner force and together with the drawn air it drives the rotor to rotation. The other version of the device provides that the device can additionally contain the unit providing the rotation and passage control. It provides the deflection of some air passing through the airway and then directs this air to drive the rotor.

EFFECT: invention improves the efficiency of the power generation by the electric generator and prevents the dust and dirt getting into the rotor.
