FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of construction materials. The method involves preparation of a suspension from wastes from production of ferrosilicon-microsilica, which is carbon-silica material with particle size ranging from 0.01 to 200 mcm, including 6 to 14 % carbonaceous part, represented by a crystalline component in form of β-SiC and graphite, as well as a silica part, represented by amorphous SiO2, in sodium hydroxide solution with subsequent heating to temperature ranging from 65 to 70°C at atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: invention simplifies process of producing liquid glass, shortens duration of heating the raw mixture and reduces energy consumption.
