FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: suspension for production of liquid glass is prepared from silica-containing amorphous substance with particle size of mostly (10-100)*10-6 m in solution of sodium hydroxide. As silica-containing substance waste of ferroalloy production is used - micro-silica that consists of 85-89 wt % of SiO2, 5-7 wt % of β - SiC and 5-7 wt % of graphite. Hydrothermal treatment of suspension is carried out at heating up to temperature of 70 °C, with continuous mixing with the rate of 1 rotation/s.
EFFECT: suggested invention makes it possible to reduce temperature of raw mixture heating; to reduce duration of technological process of liquid glass production and to provide possibility of efficient application of multi-tonnage wastes of ferroalloy production.
