FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for obtaining liquid glass. Suspension for obtaining liquid glass is prepared from silica-containing amorphous substance with particle size mainly of (80-200)*10-6 m in sodium hydroxide solution. As silica-containing substance, waste of ferroalloy production, i.e. microsilica consisting, by 90-92 weight %, of SiO2 and by 6 - 8 weight %, of β-SiC is used. Hydrothermal procession of suspension is realised with heating to temperature of 75°C, constantly mixing with the rate of 1 rps. Claimed invention allows for reducing temperature of raw mixture heating, reducing duration of technological process of obtaining liquid glass and ensuring possibility of efficient use of large-tonnage waste of ferroalloy production, i.e. microsilica.
EFFECT: possibility of efficient use of large-tonnage waste of ferroalloy production, i.e. microsilica with reduction of duration of technological process of obtaining liquid glass.
