FIELD: chemistry; glass.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic control of glass melting processes. Before loading charge into a glass melting furnace, the grade of the charge is determined from deviation of the weight composition of high-melting and low-melting components and the temperature field of the glass mass on the width of the doghouse. Charge is loaded into areas of the doghouse at various temperatures depending on the grade. If weight composition of one of the components deviates from a given value, the charge is first loaded into a weighing disposal bin, from which partial doses of refuse charge are fed into the next portions of conditioned first, second or third grade charge transported to the glass melting furnace. The amount and weight of partial doses is calculated such that, the grade of the mixture of refuse and conditioned charge corresponds to or is higher than the grade of conditioned charge. If the grade is higher, distribution of the charge mixture on the width of the doghouse of the glass melting furnace is corrected.
EFFECT: cutting losses of raw material components of a glass bath and increased thermal uniformity of the glass mass.
