FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in measuring airflow rarefaction behavior in inlet pipeline, depending upon engine shaft forced cranking, synchronising the data of dependence of airflow rarefaction in inlet pipeline upon time with "TDC" signal during compression stroke. Note here that, processes occurring in valve gear depending upon technical state parametres in tests are mathematically described and representative parametre is revealed. Note that airflow changes processing, analysis and registration are made by adequate computer software. Note also, that valve gear mechanism are diagnosed in dynamic conditions. There is an example of device.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and validity of disgnostics.
