FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to phthisiology and roentgenology, and can be used for evaluation of degree of operation cavity substitution in case of tubeculous osteitis in small children. After obtaining bone roentgenograms in frontal and sagittal projections, roentgenic image is input into computer by means of scanner using standard digitisation frequency. In Adobe Photoshop program standardisation of roengenic image is carried out in two projections. Segment, corresponding to zone of interest (operation cavity, transplant) is outlined on perimetre with cursor. Computer automatically calculates area if outlined area S (in pixels), measurement results being shown in line "pixels" of "Histogram" command of "Image" menu. Measurement of absolute size of operation cavity is carried out outlining nidus on edge with intermittent line. Degree of operation cavity filling with transplant (in per cent) is determined by ratio of absolute transplant size to size of post-operation cavity by formula: C=S2/S1×100%, where C - degree of filling; S1 - size of post-operation cavity (in pixels), S2 - size of transplant (in pixels). After that recording of obtained indices is carried out.

EFFECT: method insures increase of efficiency of quantitative evaluation of tuberculous osteitis pathology in children of small age.
