METHOD OF DIAGNOSING BLOCK OF TYMPANIC DIAPHRAGM AND ADITUS NATURAL FISTULAS DURING CONTRAST COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC OTITIS MEDIA (MESO AND EPITYMPANITIS) Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B8/13

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology. In order to diagnose block of tympanic diaphragm and aditus natural fistulas during contrast computer tomography contrast substance "Omnipaque" in amount 2 ml is introduced into external auditory meatus and tympanic cavity. In case of mesotympanitis, after introduction of contrast substance under microscope control cotton-wool tampon with petrolatum is introduced into region of tympanic orifice of auditory tube with patient in recumbent position with lifted chin and head inclination at 45° to the side of examined ear, transtympanic infusion of roentgen-contrast substance is performed, auditory meatus is closed with piece of cotton-wool, series of computer photos are taken. If tympanic cavity is completely filled and contrast substance does not get into retrotympanic parts or narrowing in form of "pen grasp" in region of aditus is obtained, conclusion about block of tympanic diaphragm and aditus natural fistulas is made. Cotton-wool - oil tampon is not introduced to patients with epitympanitis. If contrast substance gets into auditory tube, but does not get into retrotympanic parts - conclusion is made only about aditus block. If contrast substance gets neither in auditory tube nor into retrotympanic parts - conclusion about block of natural fistulas and aditus is made.

EFFECT: method increases diagnostics efficiency and reduces number of recurrences in patients with chronic otitis media and block of aditus.
