FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of fabricating metal front and/or rear strengthening edge of, for example turbine fan blade with wide chord. Proposed method comprises producing shell with inner space limited by a profile. Note that said profile includes aforesaid strengthening edge. Method comprises, further on, cutting said shell for strengthening edge to be withdrawn therefrom.
EFFECT: reduced blade weight and sizes without changing its aerodynamic profile.
