FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for magnetic detection of flaws in blades of turbo-machines. The method involves setting up a magnetic flaw detection device using a standard flawless control object with normal temperature, without applying a load and dimensions and material corresponding to the blades being inspected. The magnetic flaw detection device is used to scan the inspected blades in similar conditions and extent of damage to material of the blades is determined from the difference in parametre values obtained from the standard and inspected blades. Parametres of the material of the blades are also recorded while loading, for which the standard control object is loaded in the region of elastic stress by applying a load P3 and the magnetic flaw detection device is setup. Similarly, the inspected blade is loaded by applying a load P3, and repeated scanning is done using a measuring device, and change in the state of the material of the inspected blade before and after loading is determined from change in the obtained parametre values.

EFFECT: increased information content and accuracy of assessing extent of damage to material of a blade made from steel alloy taking into account effect of mechanical loads which arise when using the components, and taking into account effect of operating temperature.
