FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: to evaluate degree of deterioration of turbo-machine blades made from cobalt alloys, a method for measuring thermal emf and a magnetic method are used. The degree of deterioration of the material of the blades caused by diffusion and chemical factors is determined from the thermal emf values. Deterioration caused by physical and mechanical factors is determined from magnetic parametres. Measuring devices are setup using standard control objects which are in form of standard blades with known nature and degree of deterioration.
EFFECT: increased information content and reliability of evaluating the nature and degree of deterioration of the material of the blades.
