SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for forming and transmitting images over a network. The output of a photoelectric image sensor (PES) is connected to an information channel, which includes series-connected line buffers, made in form of a FIFO stack, an image processing unit, a compression unit, Ethernet-converter and transceiver (TS), and a control channel, which includes a control information buffer, a microprocessor (MP) and a controller (C). The output of the photoelectric image sensor is connected to the input of line buffers, the bidirectional port of the transceiver is connected to the Ethernet network, the control output of the transceiver is connected to the input of the control information buffer, the output of the control information buffer is connected to the first input of the microcontroller, the first output of the microcontroller is connected to the input of the controller, the second output of the microcontroller is connected to the control input of the photoelectric image sensor, and third output of the microcontroller is connected to the control input of the image processing unit. The first output of the controller is connected to the control input of the compression unit, the second output of the controller is connected to the control input of the transceiver with formation of local feedback for setting up modes of operation of the transceiver, and the output of the image brightness level is connected to the second input of the microcontroller to control operating parameters of the photoelectric image sensor.

EFFECT: optimum use of Ethernet network bandwidth through adaptive control of information compression ratio taking into account work load of the network.
