FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of agriculture and to physiology of plants. Method includes detection of live sprouts share. Simultaneously share of preserved part of root system is identified by measurement of total length of roots preserved after extreme wintering, in total sum of length of all roots. Further coefficient of ratio between preserved part of root system and share of live sprouts exposed to effect of negative temperatures is calculated. Using ratio coefficient, ability of plants is established for recovery after received damages. Using equation of regression with ratio coefficient and average number of sprouts per plant, crop capacity is identified, which is used to judge adaptation of varieties to negative temperatures.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible in the beginning of season to identify reasonability of further operation of damaged plantation and further cultivation of this variety in this region.
