FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to method and unit to produce automotive tires. Proposed method comprises the following stages, i.e. (a) assembling cylindrical carcass structure at first assembly position incorporating at least one carcass layer coupled with annular fixing appliances spaced axially apart; (b) producing cylindrical hose comprising tread band applied in outward-radial direction relative to band structure that comprises at least one band layer including reinforcing cords parallel to hose circumferential length. Note here that stage (b) includes job (b1) of first band structure assembly at aforesaid first assembly position and on first auxiliary drum of final station. Job (b2) of applying tread band at least one second working position in outward-radial direction relative to second band structure pre-assembled at least one second auxiliary drum of final station. Note here that application is effected via laying, in preset manner, of annular turns of at least one continuous elongated element made from green elastomer material in outward-radial direction relative to second band structure. Job (b3) of positioning fist auxiliary drum that holds first band structure in at least one second working position. Job (b4) of positioning at least one second auxiliary drum that holds produced cylindrical hose in position of final station pick-up position. Then, follows stage (c) of moving cylindrical hose from aforesaid pick-up position into outward-radial position relative to carcass structure assembled at assembly station. Note here that jobs (b1) through (b4) are cyclically repeated, jobs (b1) and (b2), (b3) and (b4) are effected at least partially simultaneously.
EFFECT: method to produce high-quality tire.
