FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Proposed method comprises stage (a) of assembly at assembly station of cylindrical carcass structure including carcass layer connected with circular fastening structures spaced axially apart at assembly station primary drum. It comprises stage (b) whereat cylindrical sleeve with tread band is made, said tread band being laid in outward radial position relative to tape layer including reinforcing cords parallel with the sleeve circumferential length. Note here that stage (b) comprises job (b1) of first tape assembly at first working position at extra drum of finishing station. It includes also job (b2) of application of tread band at second position in outward radial position relative to second tape structure preassembled at second assembly drum of finishing station. Note here that said application job is performed by laying continuous elongated element from uncured elastomer in preset path in outward radial position relative to second tape structure. It includes job (b3) of positioning the first extra drum retaining first tape structure to second working position. It includes job (b4) of positioning second extra drum retaining made cylindrical sleeve in position (D) of support at finishing station. Then, stage "c" of cylindrical sleeve transfer from support position to assembled carcass structure at primary drum of assembly station. It comprises also stage (c') of assembling cylindrical sleeve with carcass structure at assembly station primary drum. Note that jobs (b1)-(b4) are cyclically reiterated. Jobs (b1, b2, b3 and b4) are performed at a time.
EFFECT: higher process flexibility and tire quality.
