FIELD: physics; radio.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio metering and can be used to measure complex coefficients of transmission and reflection of microwave four terminal networks. In a device which has double-frequency synthesiser of coherent test microwave signals, a test microwave four terminal network, first and second microwave mixers, first analogue-to-digital converter and second analogue-to-digital converter, control computer and ratio indicator, there is also a first digitally controlled operational amplifier, which consists of a first amplifier, first variable and first fixed resistors; a second digitally controlled operational amplifier, consisting of a second amplifier, second variable and second fixed resistors; an auxiliary generator, variable attenuator, equal-arm divider, voltmetre, control unit and six switches.

EFFECT: more accurate measurement of complex coefficients of transmission and reflection of microwave four terminal networks owing to the link between known and newly introduced elements.
