FIELD: physics; radio.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar, specifically to radar measurements, and can be used for measuring coefficient of reflection (CR) of radiotransparent cowlings (RTC) and flat samples of radar absorbent materials and coatings (RAMC). The device has an antenna system in an anechoic chamber, the analysed object on a stand, a receiving-transmitting device and a unit for calculating coefficient of reflection of electromagnetic waves. The antenna system is made in form of an array of N (N>2) receiving-transmitting elements lying in one plane, spaced by half the wavelength of the electromagnetic waves, and there is a switch for the receiving-transmitting elements of the antenna system and a control unit for the receiving-transmitting device.

EFFECT: more accurate measurement of coefficient of reflection of electromagnetic waves by increasing the dynamic range of measurement and possibility of measuring coefficient of reflection with normal incidence of electromagnetic waves on the analysed object.
