FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of active carbon, particularly for producing "coarse" granules and can be used in electro-carbon, compound feed industry and other industries for granulating composite mixtures by mixing a powdered base and liquid binder. The apparatus for granulating composite mixtures has batchers for the powdered and liquid components, pipes for inlet of the powdered and liquid components, a blade double-shaft mixer and a screw granulator. The screw granulator consists of a working chamber, a screw cap, with premoulding and pulping parts, and a draw hole matrix. The ratio of the diametre of the winding of the premoulding part of the screw to that of the last winding of the pulping part equals 1.8-2.2.
EFFECT: invention increases output of "coarse" granules at the granulation state and simplifies assembling of components.
