SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of 4-vinylcyclohexene-1 through catalytic cyclodimerisation of butadiene, characterised by that, the catalyst used is Mo(CO)6 and MoO2(acac)2, the reaction is carried out in a medium of carbon tetrachloride and methanol in molar ratio [Mo]:[butadiene]:[CCl4]:[CH3OH]=1:200:200:400, at temperature 140°C for 3 hours.
EFFECT: achieving 95-100% output of end product using readily available catalyst and solvents.
