FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: rail ends are jointed together by aluminothermic welding with intermediate casting between rail ends. After aluminothermic welding, without waiting for complete cooling of rail ends welded together, metal is built up on rail upper surface in the zone adjoining welded seam. Notable abrasive processing of welded seam is made together with abrasive processing of built-up metal.
EFFECT: reduced amount of jobs.
